Whipped Cream Frosting
Friday, February 8th, 20081/4 Cup Water
1 tsp Unflavored gelatin
1/2 Pint Heavy Cream
Flavorings and food colors optional
Put the water in a small saucepan and sprinkle the gelatin over the surface. Leave until completely softened (5-20 minutes). Cook over low heat and stir gently until dissolved. Set aside.
In a medium bowl, whip the cream until it reaches ’soft peak’ stage. Begin adding the softened gelatin, sugar and any flavorings you like and continue whipping until it holds firm peaks.
**You can use a drop or two of food coloring to reach your desired color.
