More To Florida Than Mickey!!

I’ve never had the chance to visit Florida. We keep throwing the idea out for a family vacation, but there just never seems to be enough money to really make the plans. We’ve talked to the kids about the possibility of heading south and they are thrilled…3 of the 4 are even happy to plan a Disney vacation. Number 1 boy, however, has his Florida heart set on something a little bigger…SPACE! The Kennedy Space Center would be the ultimate stop in his mind. Space Camp is in the not too distant future for him, and if he keeps his grades up, his dream of becoming an Astronaut may not be too far off the mark!

This summer however, we are sticking near home! Funds are VERY low, so we are finding things to do in Chicago instead of things to do in Orlando, Florida. However, next month we are heading north to Wisconsin for a week…that’s as exotic as we get in this house! I have found some great online travel guides and we have had a lot of fun exploring some of the fun things in our own backyard.
