The Guitar Cake!!

Ok—before you say anything let me just say…I know the arm of the guitar is too short–but honestly, the thing weighs 20 lbs–any more cake and I wouldn’t be able to lift it!! But other than the stubby little arm, I think it looks pretty darn good.
It is a carved Devils Food cake with a strawberry/cream filling frosted with chocolate frosting and covered with fondant. Since I’m not a fan of the flavor of fondant I like to put a lot of frosting underneath it so that people can peel the fondant off and still have the frosting with their cake.

It’s great. I don’t know how you got it to look shiney and polished. And the flames have sparklies in them. I bet Michael loved it. LM

yes it does look good. i’m sure my son would love thi especially right now that he is so into the ps2 game guitar hero. kudos to you for making a nice guitar cake.
